Instead of doing the #tbgratitudechallenge for 30 days, I decided to share what I learned during my cancer journey. Payback. Trying to show my gratitude to all of you in a different way. And who knows, it just might save a life.

LIFESAVING BIOPSIES: Fear No Needles

Blood can detect many things, but in my case, when chemotherapy was failing me, we turned to a core biopsy. While you are awake but numbed (lidocaine), a needle probe extracts tissue. That determined I now had a second cancer, Diffuse Large B-Cell Lymphoma, a killer cancer. Aggressive, fast growing. Fatal if not defeated. Without the core biopsy, I would not.be.typing.this.
